Muted Voices
By: Fee
when the echoes of a brand new dawn
shade the tear stains of the lonely night
when the sun begins to fade his memory
of thoughts that just will not take flight
when cold love withers on the winter vine
because it takes two to make things right
when the breezes first made the poppies wave
was it then she began to lose the will to fight…
when love got buried in the history pages
shared between sorrow and hindsight…
“In Flanders Fields the poppies blow,
between the crosses row on row…”

Only those who've served can truly appreciate the muted voices that speak no more: you do them honor in these beautiful lines of gratitude. Thank you for your service, and thank you for remembering so powerfully. Well done.
