As the day comes to a close, and minds work overtime as they touch on dreams and dreams as yet unborn...things roll off the mind like poetry...

The Merit of Time

By: fee

He asked “Let me love thee, like I loved once before

close your eyes, close out the world infected evermore

let us warm and wet unite like the waves kiss the shore

I am the society’s illness, but baby you may be the cure

let lips devour what time’s magnitude cannot provide

out of control let’s cling together on this roller coaster ride

into your heart, your soul, your flesh I crave only to reside

when climax shatters golden rules we will not so deprive

into the land where only the hidden breath of shadows cast

where love is spoken but not known if life itself will last

where church and life are dreams to our own conflicted past

kisses soothe forerunners as a séance of souls faith surpassed

now I lay me down to best and pray to thee I past thy test

my cloak, my rod, like the Sheppard I am meekly dressed

and when the sun no longer settles score in yonder West

our minds enfold and imprison until once more we rest.”

Oh, Felix, this is gorgeous. Love the imagery you paint on my eyes in these lines: particularly,

" ... let us warm and wet unite like the waves kiss the shore
I am the society's illness, but baby, you might be the cure ...."

Whew. Undone by the passion in this, alone! Hope, yet. :) Beautiful.

(((((HUGS))))) and love, Karla.
