Mind Mending Conversations With Myself

Talk to me she said in my mind

I began to talk

of latent bitterness

sadness maximized

thoughts of once was

And can never be again

of disappointments

of hopes and dreams

no hidden agendas

no deviant schemes

the last shreds of sanity

took me to my knees

Talk to me I said to her in my mind

She began to talk

I was not what I was

love is just a fantasy

too old for such vanity

arms are but for lifting

kisses are for children

forget foolish dreams

grow up and be a man

I do the best I can

nothing comes for free

be quiet let me be…

Talk to me I asked my pillow

watered by bitter tears

talk to me I asked the heavens

why do I have such fears

talk to me I asked God

who spoke a platitude

talk to me I asked the sun

who was being rude

talk to me I asked my heart

no answer would it give

so in this silent empty space

forever, I’ll pretend to live

This is a deep, honest poem. Sometimes we have to feel the sadness, before the joy begins. Don't ever give up on love. It's what you deserve.

Fee, you are going deeper and deeper into the blues, it's time to change your brain for a happy one, and, people that have heated discussion with themselves will wear "Fruit of the Loom" white jackets! :-)
