Love sometimes seems blind and this is for those who often find it hard to believe how lucky they are to be loved by someone special...

Poem Artwork

What Do You See…In Me

What have I done, under this sun

To deserve to be loved by you

You say you care, I believe it dear

No one else on earth would do

I cannot see, what you see in me

My mirror won’t reflect a lie

For before you I was a no one

I think of that and I question why

If love is blind…then love is kind

To let your heart join mine

Then I wonder if I’m dreaming

That I’ll wake up sometime

So until I do…I’ll cherish you

And whatever time we share

If I awake, to find it’s some mistake

I’ll hold our memory forever dear…

If it's the right person, I guess they can see things in us that we can't always see. Lovely write, Fee.

It's no mistake and I am sure she sees the things about yourself that you miss, as we are wont to do with ourselves. If she sees it now, she will see it always, and in the words of one of my writing idols, "Reason is Passion's slave, is it not?" (Dostoevsky), and I think it is apt when we love without reason, unconditionally, and filled with the passion that comes from the depths of that kind of emotion. Beautiful poem.

Well penned. You ask a question one needs to ask often in a relationship. I discovered after 5 years of marriage that my sweety married me because I am an artist. Funny, and I thought it was my little grey cells. lol
