White rumpled sheets beneath stage light glows

Outside our window smiles the weeping willows

In mind the soft music from the strings of cellos

By your love my angry spirit quickly mellows

Lines of misty words endearing on the breeze

Scene kisses punctuated with loving squeeze

Now cue the morning bird song if you please

A sensual love scene unlocked by Cupid’s keys

Oh once romance rested on Romeo’s secret cue

A brilliant script but…if Shakespeare only knew

Entwined on stage of life how I longed for you

Our curtain calls then kiss beyond the watcher’s view…
