when we are feeling low uncertainty often invades our spirits

Poem Artwork

Uncertainty…

In the bitter room of darkened hurt

where my uncertainty reigns supreme

a cold fist of heartache strikes deadly

to shatter what’s left of my dream

cold wind sings songs of mourning

while the frost dims my light of day

hot flames ebb down to cool embers

I can’t hear anything that you say

spirits slip like the grey mercury

as temperature drops out of sight

mind plays tricks on my heartstrings

makes me feel like dying this night

my need…your love to revive me

like a drowning man I cling to that hope

throw me a kiss or  just a sweet whisper

throw me a proverbial love rope...

Felix, this anchor of mortal despair you speak of is not unique to any one soul my friend -- at one time or another it has visited us all -- and I am assuming with a great deal of certainty, that this is purely muse speaking -- peace and love to you -- Jon Michael

Satan sure is pushing your buttons. I know how tough it can be to feel as though you are about to slip down into a dark pit. My saving grace was and is having God in my life, and trusting completely in His blessings and never-ending unconditional love.

Dear God, please let Felix know your light and love within; and your blessings for him a better life.

Sometimes life twist our tail or yank our chains, and we are uncertain about the dungeons doors ever to open and let us go free...
Some will never know enslavement, some will never be free, but man can cheat life's blues by resorting to optimism!

You've been able to convey the dire need for a love assist if there ever was one. Fee. Your writings get better and better my friend.
Keep warm up there.
Blessings and love,

I feel like this all the time. I think that happens when you love deeply and then it is taken away, something we can all relate to. In the depth of the enforced silence, uncertainty masterfully taunts those parts that we keep closest to our hearts and make us sure that our lover's feeling have changed, but they haven't and we realize that once the sun comes up again. Great writing.

Perhaps we are like musical instruments, and not every lover is a musician.
I know that sinking feeling.
Well expressed here.
