The beauty of a sunrise in a Canadian forest comes close to the beauty of true love...

Forest Love Awakening

 

 

Morning light forms ancient shadows

Define paths to our searching solitude

Shadows where our spirits long to kiss

Hear our souls sing a song of gratitude

 

 

Nature’s castle where awe-struck silence

Seem the requisite language of the hour

Here, love like evergreens will flourish

Overwhelming with its mighty power

 

 

Filtered sunlight shivers on dewdrops

That lovingly linger on the thirsting green

I pluck a perfect Lady Slipper as your gift

On the banks of a blue brook so pristine

 

 

I know I am but a simple man and poet

Seeking perfect words tell you how I feel

Like ancient whispers of the deep woods

Tree to tree, heart to heart love is real…
