Can you still see me

feel me as yours

drowning at sea

the interior rain

despondency bred

blurred intimacy pain

heat seeking fire

time over riding

forgotten desire

umbrella of hope

keep memories alive

walk a tight rope

feeling anxious inside

this face that I wear

subs the face that I hide

whispered kiss in my ear

dried raindrop tears

stifle my fear…

Felix your poem strikes a blow of sadness and depression to the heart my dear friend. Only the "umbrella of hope" clings on. Haunting and searching for the answers. I bid you love and peace. Jon Michael

Love this one, Fee. I can feel the emotion. The third-to-last verse was my fave part. Love and Hugs,

WOW! So much said, so succinctly, Fee. I'm so jealous of your skills.

If we are actually living our lives, from time to time, we all "Walk that tight rope." Much happiness to you in the New Year.

Thanks Dick

Brilliant extended "drowning" metaphor and images give the "bobbing" feel to this heart-wrenching poem, Felix; the balance between hope and hopelessness here is a fine one with that redemptive strophe at the end. As always, so thoughtful and laced with emotion that is felt and true. Bless you, darlin. May 2011 bring ever more power to your pen and rejuvenation to your dear and sacrificial heart. xx
