Demon's Symphony

Storm raged outside last night, high winds, rain, sleet etc and from the fourteenth floor of my apartment it really did sound quite hellish...

Poem Artwork

Demon’s Symphony

A grumbling roll of cursing thunder

Knife wound stabs of blinding light

Storm clouds seeking domination

As if Sol has lost his last will to fight

Conducted waves increase the tempo

Raging crescendo winds torture ear

Smirking orchestra of Satan’s demons

Twist rusted strings from far and near

God’s bitter teardrops kiss the vista

No angel’s songs heard in harmony

An angry wrath descends upon us

Lighthouse fades so none can see

Falling curtain of the final hellish act

Of the laughing Demon’s symphony…

It is really in the individuals perception isn't it Felix. Your muse has done a perfect job of presenting the exciting aspect of a storm coupled with that lingering fear and the mystery. At times I hear an immense symphony orhestra playing Wagner. Massive kettle drums rattling the earth. Demon or no, they are a unique symphony. I bid you love and peace my dear friend. Jon Michael

Tremendous imagery, deeply felt music!
Nature is full of energy and creativity and sometimes all we can do is share in the awe of it all.

From the 14th floor you can get a true front row seat. You have done good with this poem.

I really enjoyed this- I could sense so well being in that storm- you do wonder if there is some evil destructive force.
Japan sure met the Demon.
And there are great symphonic words which convey such fury.
I'm in the mood to listen.

I hear the symphony's music, Felix, loud and clear. You did a magnificent job with this, and I'm waiting to see what Christine Tsen thinks about it and if she would like to sit in when the orchestra tunes up again.
