George wrote this poem in Oct , 2005. He's still in prison, but is fortunate now to be in a workcamp. He's studing to become a minister. I am so proud of him!
Deliver me unto your hands,
my kind and loving God,
for my journey has been long
and rough upon my body
My eyes have whitnessed endless
pain, A sea of searching souls
The race towards end of days,
A prize that Christ unfolds
Deliver me from myself,
and sins that drive me mad
Pull me in with sweet embrace,
show me the love I once had
Take me from this earthly tomb,
For here, I am walking dead
Deliver me unto your hands,
Drive the demons from my head

Hi Mary,I'm glad that you shared this poem from George.Anytime that a person is willing to change his ways for the good and to become a better human being,it is something that I always respect out of people.Change is a good thing because a person like George can become better than what he used to be.I know George will overcome his demons which he already have and I wish him nothing but success in whatever he does.I respect him for making a positive difference in his life.Thank you for sharing this poem from him.take care
George should continue writing this type of poetry. I can
see the introspective thoughts that writing this poem
created for George. Very good poetry !!!
Are you still angry at God for having lost a loved one due to sickness or unexpected circumstances? This book will give you a better understanding of death, God’s role in it, and what decision is before each of us that would allow us to see them agai
