Today is Good Friday, a day that changed our lives for ever...
May the spirit of Easter fill your hearts with peace and love

Mary wept as her son
was dieing on the cross

Mary wept as she held his
brisued and battered body
after his death

Mary wept as Jesus' body
was cleansed with water
and fragrent oils

Mary wept as they placed
her son in his tomb

Mary rejoyed when Jesus
arose and accended in to
his fathers kingdom

Mary gave thanks for
his eternal salvation and
everlasting life

Thank you for these thoughts, Mary Grace. We need to take time to think about how it was to be there. We must never let the story of the crucifixion and resurrection become commonplace. As you said, Good Friday changed our lives forever!

Mary,
Beautiful and moving poem about our Lord and Saviour. I've often wondered how Mary felt watching her son suffer as He carried the heavy cross on that dusty road to Calvary, how she felt when they nailed Him to the cross, the child she had nutured and loved, the child she had watched grow from a baby to a Saviour. Loved this poem, MaryGrance!
