Stinking of garbage, exhausted as hell
I decided to sit and rest for a spell
Looking All around the garbage heap
I noticed so many things people didn’t keep
Everything in society today is disposable
Strewn around me were items all so tangible
Like pens, diapers, lighters, and such
These items did not upset me as much
As the pile of refuse you can’t really see
People seem blind to these, but not Gumby
I saw family values, friendships, and marriages
dreams, honor, morals and induced miscarriages
Tears flowing with each step I took
after seeing what I saw my little world shook
My little eyes could not take what I saw
I ran and ran until my little legs were sore
I ran until waters edge appeared
and dove in to escape what I feared
images of humanity flashed by my mind
I was glad I was clay and not humankind
I must purge these thoughts from my head
As I swim to the woman I will soon wed
Yes that is what I have to do
Fill my thoughts of beautiful Goo
So here I swim, still on my quest
To find my girl who is above the rest
I’m coming Goo and soon you will be
With you one and only Gumby
