Two Tuesdays

If I could have two Tuesdays

I'd really get things done

I'd work my fingers to the bone

Then, next day, have some fun.

If I could have two Tuesdays

I wouldn't have to say,

"How can it be twelve o'clock?

I've lost another day!"

If I could have two Tuesdays

I'd write and write and write.

And, then on Tuesday I'd be free

To watch TV all night.

If I could have two Tuesdays,

How happy I would be.

I'd clean the house on Tuesday,

And, then have my Tuesday free.

If I could have two Tuesdays,

I'd finally clear my desk

Of all rejected manuscripts.

They create such a mess!

If I could have two Tuesdays,

I wouldn't have to wait,

To sit outside, or take a walk,

Or simply meditate.

Now… it's my second Tuesday

But, I've had so much to do.

How did it get to be so late?

I never will get through!

If I could have two Wednesdays…
