A trio of Lustianos,
cavorting, playing,
and dancing around
in an ever-shifting seascape.

Brainchild of cirque du Soleil,
involving daring equestrienne
acrobats, multisensory,
multimedia, a poem for all senses.

We've seen enough traditional
circuses with lions in cages,
elephants on chains, and riders
atop horses snapping their whips
shouting commands to hyped-up horses!

Effortlessly moving through the sand,
the Lustianos know they have
something special; passage, piaffe,
tempi changes, extended trot,
collected canter, canter pirouettes,
and hand gallops!

Lifting a manicured hoof to
greet their spellbound audience.

Each Lustiano has a distinctive
characteristic and personality;
the patient one, the half-breed, and
the one who is happy to squat, roll,
and stay down.

Lustianos had a tempestuous
beginning in life, each one
foaled on a ranch.

Lustianos work together in
total freedom, without censure,
in the presence of more than 1800
spectators.

Through intelligent observation,
the Lustianos are in their
natural habitat and they
have developed perfect
communication based on
early human language.

To watch the trio of
Lustianos work their
equine parts is inspirational.  It
reveals a new way to look at mares.

They build trust with each other
moment by moment, with body
language, quiet French words,
and play.

They support one another's ideas.  They
have the same passion and vision of
the future.  This is to remind us
of why we need horses, why they
are still here and why they will
continue to be our companions.
