Dr. John Michael Domino is educator by trade and has written and published books for the Air Force Academy titled Strategies for Academic Success. He served in the Air Force for twenty-four years, and he and his wife, Liz, are now both retired majors living in Florida. Dr. Domino is currently employed at Florida Gulf Coast University as an academic retention specialist. His most recent books are about prison ministry, titled respectively, “Can’t Wait to Go Back to Prison” and “Attica: A Survivors Story.”
Deep Within My Soul
Deep inside the cave of my soul.
Lives a love/hate feeling that
I cannot seem to control.
Sometimes I care so much it hurts.
Other times I want to turn away..
I cry out...
Come back again another day.
Feelings down deep within my soul.
I can't see them but I know that they are real.
Love is wonderful; hate is not.
God in heaven, I see you not.
But I know somehow that you are real.
Just like my feelings - deep down in my soul.
I know it is You --- it is Christ revealed!

They say there is a thin line between love and hate although I like to know Hate is not something I am capable of doing. I have always taught my children, they can be hurt and disagree with someones actions but never hate. When you feel this voice asking you about the consequences then you know it is wrong, let your heart lead you. A great write John. Thank you for sharing.
