Who are the common folks these days?
It used to be that common folk got married and bought a house.
Now we are fortunate to get a job and sometimes the man wears a blouse.
Not too long ago the common folk prayed and reading the Bible was the norm.
Now in some churches homosexuals are changing the Bible and taking over like a storm
It used to be common to pray at ball games and know the golden rule for doing right
Today common folks do their own thing and the morals are out of sight
The law can be bought if you are wealthy you can win most every case
While the common folks live by another set of rules and are told to save and not to waste
It used to be kids would play outside and romp around without a care
Now kids like to play games inside a computer box and never come up for air
It ‘s getting hard to find what’s really common or normal these days
But there is hope in The Lord who is eternal and never changes His ways
