Good Night My Love

While in the military I was away from my love and this poem is in remembrance of those times. Luke

Good Night My Love

To lovers apart

Good Night My Love

Good night my love, I think of thee
As I dream my soul will flee
Through the clouds oh so free
Your lovely face I hope to see.

Over land so far apart
But always close here in my heart
As I dream in slumber’s cart
My spirit has a trip to start.

To take my love like golden strand
And wrap your heart with gentle hand
Music plays like Heaven’s band
As our spirits frolic above the land.

Lonely can seem so far away
Thinking of you every day
But at night let our spirits play
As so in love we both will stay !

I have written words that were put into songs in many markets. I have written music to other peoples’ words. Some have been hits. Some have not..

I love this poem.

If a lyric can stand on its own as a piece of poetry then it is worthy of music. I would love to put music to this. If I can’t get it right then I know many published artistes that would probably, at my suggestion, try also.

I am so happy to read words that, not only move me, but impress me with style.

Whoever you are, please keep writing.
