It Is Your Choice
Bad things happen to good people
If God is so good and strong
Why do our hero’s topple ?
While evil moves along .
Why are there no answers
From Church to Town Hall
Mankind always flounders
Continues to drop the ball
In Silence God seems to watch
Miracles hard to find
So rare we’re pleased to catch
Someone just being kind.
You see it’s just that simple
For everyone has that choice
Although high in Holy temple
You can hear that quiet voice
In every ear a quiet voice
In every heart a holy source
Everyone, it is your choice
To work with Heavenly force.
For in this life it’s true
He does His work through you
It will always be your choice
For from within will come His voice.
Some will just ignore
And let it fade away.
Those He will abhor
Judge harshly on that day.
Others will embrace and choose
To help along the way
They will never loose
His love on judgment day
There is only one truthful voice
As we struggle through this strife
It’s up to us, it is our choice
To help our Lord through this life.

Someone just being kind.
True words, Larry. It seems in this days and times some people have lost all compassion for the homeless, sick, shut ins, abused, the handicapped. I thank God I still have deep compassion for people. I don't have much Paul, but there are some much worse than I. I have learned to count my blessings. Excellent poetry, Larry.
