As many of you will remember, a freak accident a year ago took another of my children, a mother of five.
In the first anniversary I wish to share some words and feeling with you...

Poem Artwork

Three hundred and sixty five days
that will be how long in time has been
since my little daughter, mother of five,
has gone away, taken by Fate’s whims.

I wrote once about, “My little pal’s dead,”
no comfort there, no words can ever be,
parents shouldn’t witness their dead child
like a punishment for whatever they did.

An empty place in the heart remains empty,
there is no one around wanting it to fill
as remembrances rush down upon the soul,
she’s rushing no more to sit on my knee.

She was the last one that I endured departure,
of my five children He has taken three,
He certainly had tried to shake my faith…
maybe God, the most merciful, is testing me.

Long nights paved with black silences,
when I question if it’s real, paying for sins,
a tooth for a tooth, a life for a life, I wasn’t
a Christian Templar, but a soldier sent to kill.

The anniversary day, when Three Wise Men
arrived with gold, frankincense and myrrh,
a day when many children find their presents,
she was taken on the morning of January sixth.

Don’t tell the father that the little girl is gone,
his heart became total deaf, don’t want to hear,
because echoing inside that love cathedral, the
little girl’s laughter he forever will come to feel.

Someone said that for the father’s sins, the sons,
a life of desert’s wandering they will inherit,
but why should my little girl should had to pay
for whatever wrongs He thinks I did?

Sandra Cecilia 1963-2006 was taken from me on January sixth 2007

I can feel the intense pain and anger for the loss of your beautiful children. Its not anything you've done my friend, you are a good man with a giving and loving heart. God has plans for all of us, we don't know when, why, where or what sometimes but they are there. When we complete these tasks he calls us home. They are with a loving father until their earthly father can be returned to them. Love, Bonnie

My condolences to you... It never really gets any easier, does it? Only one of my 13 is an angel, but I understand the grief and the hole in the heart that it brings.
May you find peace in her memories and in keeping your daughter's memory alive for your grandchildren.

I have never believed that the sins of the father are passed on to the children. God is merciful. It is truly sad when a parent outlives their children. In that respect you and I share a common bond - 3 of your 5 are angels, 3 of my 3 are angels. I strive to find peace in knowing that they are with God and watch over me. It does not diminish my sadness, but allows me to know that they are home.

May God give you strength for your grandchildren and for yourself. Your love is limitless as is your kind heart. Peace and all God's blessings to you and your family.

I send you peace, love and a BIG hug. Kathy

A beautiful picture and heartwrenching poem, superbly written!
I was unaware of this Georg! I'm sorry that you had to go through such trials with 3 of your children, it seems so unfair. I had only two sons and one of them was killed in a car accident(he wasn't driving). It was the worst blow I ever had !I don't think we ever recover from loss of one of our children,no matter what anyone tells us.

However I do know that death is inevitable for us all, so through prayer and understanding,I stopped blaming myself, which it seems all parents do, feeling guilt after losing a child. I hope and pray you will find comfort in knowing that it isn't a punishment, just a matter of timing which we don't yet know the reason for, but must trust in Creator until we are united once again with our loved ones. May God ease your suffering and bless you with comfort of the soul,so you won't punish yourself for something you had nothing to do with.

Oh Georg, still so overwhelmed with grief as any parent would be. You have passionately written a most beautiful piece to your daughter. Children do not pay the price for the sins of their parents. Sometimes God just calls us home. My love, thoughts and prayers continue to go out to you and your family that one day you will all heal.....

Be safe,
Karen

George I seen this beautiful momento this morning, but was so overwhelmed by your pain, that only now can reply, you lived my worst nightmares, I can only say that I would like to give you a big hug, and I'm sure everyone else would too, you are some courages soul, and that those precious souls are inside of you, and always will be, hug them with your thoughts and your heart instead your arms, I know you believe more that you can see, otherwise you could not write such beautiful poetry, no you are not being punished, it's just that we as mere mortals, can't see the big picture God sees, you never know what awaits us, but they do, so be the brave warrior you are, and believe in the goodness of the outcome. I send you love and hugs! Jasmin Horst

Yes Georg...I remember the day, very well, in fact, and it was the day I also knew we would always be friends!:)

God called her home, and only He has the real answers...all we can do is have faith in knowing, that sorrow is all part of the plan...preparing or preventing, maybe ? I don't know...
All I know is, you, and the two closest men in my life have experienced a terrible unexplainable loss of a child. I have not, and hope I never do!
But, hearing the pain, feeling the anguish, knowing the void it has made...will ever-sound in my heart for you, my father and my husband.
I do know one thing, though, heaven IS a much, much better place...
and when the Good Lord feels I'm ready to enter, well, then I'm ready. Until then, I pray he forms and molds me perfect for eternity, no matter what it takes, no matter what it gives...I must keep that as my stronghold...God doesn't make promises he won't keep! ...and he does promise me a place at His right side!
I plan on being there...:)
Bless you during this difficult time, but know, a friend is still praying for you...
Love and Peace~

i give you hugs and love for the emotional grief left behind with her passing.

why do you think death is a sin? or payment? death is transition and is celebrated in many beliefs..to ease your sorrow allow your memories to rejoice over the years she existed and not on the memories of her loss.

Oh my, this must be so, so bloody painful, Job comes to mind with your words, this is the worse pain a parent can have.
You didn't do anything wrong. Life gives no promise of ease, but clouds will come to all. Yet what a powerful inspiration you are.
I don't need to write as to why here, because you know. This poem cuts my heart like a knife through water.
Your faith is so powerful, you quote the OT and that was demolished, Jesus said, that their child was not blind/lame because of the sins of their father, no one can or should try to explain. My mother never knew her mother, and my granddads wishes were that mum never finds out the cause.

Yet I'm sure you feel your childrens' pressence. This breaks my heart.
You are a true gentle-man, giving, giving, giving, epiphany is giving. You are such a great overcomer.....

A wonder write to remember you daughter on this day. I know that those words you quote have nothing to do with what happened as you most likely intellectually know to yet the words are profound in nature. I always believe that when we think of someone who has passed it's just their presence being known to you and I do my best to just talk to them about today. Thoughts are healing. Lady J

Oh George my heart cries with you my friend.....knowing what it can do to you!!
I will share with you in silence through my poem to my little girl Michele!!

After Twenty Years

I am not sad today

Just somewhere

In utter gray space

I just feel light headed

Spaced out

My body has no substance

Within this gray fog

That allows no vision

I do not want to look back

Or ever feel this pain again

Because on the 24th day of May

The biggest pain ever came my way

My little girl did die on this day

She did not see the sun go down

But received her angel wings

By the side of God

To prepare a place

For those still to come

My heart aches with each word of this write my friend...there are some things that we are just not meant to understand, there are no answers to some questions...your daughter and I share the same birth year. Two years ago my six week old nephew was take in a freak car accident, I've never really understood and probably wont...but I am going to look for him when I make it home to heaven along with my papaw, mamaw, best friend, and numerous other family members. Death is not always understood, but know that you've got friends even if we are not face to face, one heart can reach out to another. A very touching write that took much strength to write...a beautiful and meaningful write my friend! Write on as it is a wonderful therapy, the expression is good for the heart and soul...thinking of you in the mountains of Ky.
Blessings,
