I wish today to make things clear
Its nightmares that have filled the air
they prick the day with fears of hell
Its time to polish up this smile
and walk the halls a million miles
To say goodbye to wishing wells
Ignore the stripes from leather thongs
Forgetting that this blood is mine
throw old dreams into the pyre
smiling as that fire grows higher
consuming flesh and hopeless wishes
burnt ashes in this life of caring
who cares if tasks were done so well?
Their need fortells this stories toll
bartered souls of mercies angels
have no chance from death knells bells
so smile when beaten dead and dying
accept the rancid tales and lying
and plan and plot a sweet revenge
keeping mystery till the bitter end
