The whisper shrieks of angry thought
Were sending stinging barbs of pain
As tears congealed a hate filled heart
And shards of coldness covered all

The day light came then darkness fell
And dark chains locked the sun away
As night got deep and cold and wide
The frozen feelings slept

Time is wise and somehow heals,
And slowly sun escaped the night
As light began to dawn again
The frozen tears did melt

The warmth of sun gave hope anew
And time, its bandaid helped.
The frigid heart began to thaw
And sunlight claimed its day

Now daily, inch by inch a life
Is reclaimed from its frozen state
warming slowly, it reclaims life
trying once more find love's heat!
