He once was just a gypsy
Moving from town to town
He had a lonely heart
he let no woman own

Then he came to her
He moved into her home
And tho’ he still is free
He chooses not to roam

His arms held her so warm
Cloaked her in precious love
His heart and hers were bound
His home he’s finally found

Then he came to her
He lived within her home
And tho’ he still is free
He chooses not to roam

No more the gypsy heart
His heart now sets down roots
He lost his need to roam
This gypsy has come home

When he came to her
Her home became his home
And tho’ he still is free
He never more will roam
