Sooo...hard to let go, our son, my first born has been married now for seven years, and I still miss him terribly. I was in denial when he was engaged, I loved his fiance, I was the one responsible for their first date...I just about hand picked her, she's wonderful and has made a terrific daughter inlaw, I just couldn't hardly let go, finally two weeks before the wedding, my husband asked...are you going to let him get married without you? Reality hit hard...my baby boy, my only boy is getting married in two weeks...now my daughter is engaged and will be getting married this summer, I will be letting go of her and our four year old granddaughter...still having a bit of a difficult time with this one...she is our last one...It's hard! Great write Myrna, I enjoyed it and you've penned it right from the heart only as a mother can...

Myrna, this is one of my favorites in the book! It makes me think about my own children and hope I can do all the right things while I still can to adequately prepare them for the world out there -to follow their dreams but also be well equipped to weather the storms I know they will encounter along the journey. Are ya gonna post "His Quill?" I hope so!
