Recently I was involved in a challenge about the inspiration for writing.. who or what inspired it. For me, it was a child's simple question during a presentation on blindness I was doing. I decided to answer his question with rhyme..and that's how it all got started.
Inspiration
Inspiration came on innocent breath.
A simple quest it was...'what if you could
Change things and not have to be blind'..I paused,
Thinking 'just suppose I could' but quickly
Dismissed its importance...it mattered not
That nests amid branches I could not see
For the fledglings' song I heard... I could smell
Rain and taste its coolness upon my tongue.
I could touch sky, feel dreams...and I could paint
My vision with words! And so... it began.
This is exceptional Myrna as is the source of your inspiration. So often i thinkof others or of all too famiiar times when change was something everyone expected if it were in their power. But most say that they can find a kind of appreciation and gift in the deal and look for the good and the growth and never look back. So it begins...
