It shimmered like gold Liquid waves of heat Rippling upon the browning Grass of too long a summer Stinging the eyes with sweltering Intensity and smothering the last Breath of fresh air, stealing it Robbing her of a memory...
She wondered if perhaps It was an August-induced mirage, Nature's tease, or the product Of an over-active imagination...
What did it matter anyway... It was too damn hot to think!!
I was close to your neck of the woods recently, Myrna...and it is a different kind of heat, however, it has found my home as well and it brings a whole new meaning to the "lazy, hazy days of summer". Simple breathing is a task.

Taylor

I see that even the dog days of Summer can inspire good poetry, Myrna. I'm going to have to go and turn down the thermostat a little more after reading this! Excellent and timely....tis the season to swelter.

The Devil, King of All Hell and then some, will get you for this one. It's too hot in Georgia to give you sensible review, so I'll get back to you in November.... maybe, December..... or '08. Okay?
I'm laughing my sweat glads off at this one... for it's so good I can't stop! You gotta' goodun' here, Kajun Kutie!
