Not usually one to write love poems so this piece may surprise a few... The love we find 'within the stillness' is so special... it lives on, no matter what.
Within the Stillness
Long have poets in romantic muse penned Those words that melt, that woo, that tempt passion's Imagination... long have composers Sought to coax a blush from ivory keys, steal The breath from ebony, and lure the stars With song... and long has love proclaimed echoed In mountain wind, been etched in flawless sand, And filled the sails of passing ships... but I Seek not this... I wait to hear the whisper Of a love that speaks within the stillness
Your poem doen't surprise me, because I know your work, and this is but a detour into the realm of love which you certainly know well. My reading it from the page, and then, out loud, gave equal ripples of sweetness... for you have discovered love's open secret. This is excellent... and so brief! - Bill
This evoked quite a bit of thought in my mind...memories actaully of persons and places, of friends, family and lovers...it is so serene, this piece. Lovely work, my dear friend.
