Before November Comes

This morning the sky was dull and seemed to want to weep.. the sun is out now but still with a listless quality. I penned this Sonnetina Uno while looking out my window....

Before November Comes

Stillness clings to October, lingering
To capture time within autumn's whisper.
The winds of melancholy blow gently,
Stirring the skirts of still-dressed trees, and leaves,
Long lost to crumpled dreams, now wait to greet
New friends, reminisce of summer that was.
I look to leaden skies, dulled and listless,
Wonder if like me Sun too is mourning
The swift passage of fall and longs to have
Just one last cry before November comes.

Very beautiful poemization of season's metamorphosis poetized with art and rhythm, and painted with the colors of the rainbow of creation... "Before November Comes" sings with the Voice of wonders.
In admiration,

Such a nice work of thought...the view of seasons as they pass and change into the next...even the Sun with all it's intensity cannot escape the changes of life...

Beautiful.
In Florida, we have about 4 or 5 days of Autumn and then straight into Winter.

Nicely done.

Beautifully imaged and penned, Myrna, I felt the heaviness of your poignant words. Well done.

One more look at a passing month... a milestone in lives looking for rewards... and finding particulary ones worth remembering. I like the way you find beauty and contentment in the, so called, llittle things. Excelent work, here. - Bill

In the Whirlwind by Tichaona Chinyelu

In the Whirlwind is a poetic storm that frees history from the cages of corruption and puts it in the hands of everyday people. Words are weaved into a new fashion statement that has nothing to do with runways but everything to do with projects!
