I love taking sometimes abstract concepts and givng them a twist, or using an analogy of ordinary to make a point. Sometimes I succeed and sometimes I don't... hopefully this time I did.
Wrinkles
I see life as an old comfortable sweater or that quilt of mismatched colors, a treasure I cannot
throw away even when it becomes faded or no longer fits ... patchwork memories and uneven seams
stitched with broken thread are priceless, each a reminder of love, of loss, of simply
living and making days count ... frayed and unraveled edges show worth of spirit, comfort
within imperfection ... but every now and then I must take a long look at it, shake out some of the
wrinkles, and mend a tear or two or replace a button that's been lost because old treasures need tending
just as lives do ... and I would like to think that I only shook out the wrinkles that mattered, leaving
just enough to remind me that life may not always be good but it is mine to live, to embrace, to remember
...beautiful pen...inspired thoughts...appreciating the fabric...of what is held dear...and within.
wonderful thoughts...I really like this one Myrna...you have succeeded.

Wow, this says so much about the writer and her love of life and living it. It is true that some people dwell on aging and the wrinkles and gray hair but to me as I feel you have presented here, they are to be cherished as life will spent.
Many great ideas form a singular and strong vision of life.
I like the thought of getting rid of wrinkles, but... not all of them. Some signs, scars, imperfections are needed as a reminder of who we have become through life's experiences.
Life, love, all that matters needs to be looked after. You can't expect things to grow and thrive without taking proper care of them.
Your writing does a superb job on this kind of piece. I reveled in every word and line. And, the whole is a precious and priceless part of living in the future. Your title, Wrinkles, is appropriate, but I believe it deserves a sub-title, too; "Patchwork Memories" ...

Any wrinkles I have, I will be grateful for them. It shows how long I've lived; and considering I wasn't expected to live a day when born forty eight years ago, I consider each day I wake up a Gift from God. Yes. I am indeed a Miracle! :) Wonderful write!
