This poem is written as a decastich, which is essentially just a 10-lined poem.
In the Land of Bittersweet
Of late I find myself in Bittersweet, A blended land of angush and joy Where flickers of courage meet shadows And grief in muted precision and dull Comfort. I linger here in time's respite From white hot truth but I cannot still Its swift passage, nor ignore its calling. New horizons beckon, tomorrow's mime Skips into view with a nod and a wink And I wonder if time might compromise.
...one can appreciate the bittersweet...for it is a reminder...that there is still something of wonder...something of hope...in bitters sweet time.
