there are those things in life that remain
within us, never forgotten... some soothe us,
some haunt us, and some bring regret...
there are memories sweet and bitter,
torrents of tears and those whispers
of another life, thoughts that will
not fade into time's oblivion and
lingering doubts, cursed uncertainties,
etched into every dream, every reality...
and there are too those words we leave
behind, not spoken with cruel intentions,
or deceit, but hurtful nonetheless
This is so direct and hits home for all too often we leave things unsaid waiting for the perfect time or afraid of the consequences or for whatever reason and all too often someone pays for our procrastination.
