A tankabun capturing a single moment one summer afternoon... if you would like information about the form please let me know.
Chime and Wing
Summer sonata
Composition in bird song
Soft silver laughter
I listen and breathe it in
How timeless the melody
Chime and wing sing to me within a heated wind... somehow off-key but still pitch perfect. And it is in this moment that the union of time and nature becomes clear... and becomes the symphony I will remember when summer wears to ordinary and I am left longing for autumn.
You have mastered this form, Myrna, and we are the
happy beneficiaries. Beautiful thoughts, beautifully
rendered. And what a joy it must be to witness the union
of time and nature. -gene.
I may be the first to comment on this beauty but I sure won't be the last. I love this Myrna. Only your special gift could come up with the closing line, "when summer wears to ordinary and I am left longing for autumn." - when summer wears to ordinary - that's genius poetry.
BRAVO my dear!
Hugs,
Marcia

Summer may wear to ordinary - what eloquent phrasing - but you and your fine poetry never will. This is exquisite.
