Another offering from my upcoming book which is a collection of short verse. I do hope you enjoy!
Reclamation It was not sudden, nor did it reveal itself With fanfare and brilliance. It was an acceptance of fate, A realization that grief can be timeless, That sorrow can be devastating and Comforting in a single breath. It was knowing that answers were Not always needed, and some questions Need not be asked, reasons need not be known. It was simply the reclamation of self.
