Comfort

silence, a seamstress of quiet dignity,
embraces in cloaks of assurance,
stitched with threads of hesitant beginnings,

seamed in patchwork endings, and like that writer
in search of words to lay upon a page, allowing
them to flee into a world demanding their thoughts,

seeking their voice and curiosity, it, too, creates...
spilling itself into empty spaces, filling them with
new truths, forgotten wisdom, secrets revealed....
