I had not written a 'tankabun' in quite some time so here goes..)) hope you enjoy..

Perhaps

Between then and now
What once was and what could be
Endings, beginnings
Somber flows to brilliant
Shadows filtering away

Dawn breaks. Morning comes. Sun rises. Day begins. Warmth settles upon a heart once cold. Peace embraces a soul once tormented. Time applauds its patience. Faith weeps its knowing tears. And a lonesome breeze brings a song of hope. Love, still hesitant, still shy, waits beyond the horizon. Sun rises higher, higher, into an indigo sky. Perhaps there is reason to believe. Perhaps the moment has come. Perhaps Time and Love and Faith have spoken. Perhaps if I listen, I will hear their Truth. Perhaps.... just perhaps I have found what I was afraid to see, afraid to feel. And I smile with a joy I have not known in so very long.

Perhaps these are the words of one whom has traveled far, experienced a great deal, and now can reflect on the things that make up her life. Well done!

Indeed, it is the Truth that makes life work. Mix it with faith and indeed, joy will be ineffable. Never be fearful to feel and listen to your heart. Faint heart never wins a life of joy! xx

I am well behind the times, Myrna, and am ashamed to admit that I have no earthly idea what the form "tankabun" is. But from reading your rendition of it I see warmth and depth and a faith that from a cold heart can revive the elusive mystery called love. Well done, no matter if I don't know what the hell I am supposed to be looking for or at . . .
