I will cling not to the images left to see
I will not try to paint them to memory
If I must explore this world of gray
I will bid farewell to colors vivid
But taste of rain on tongue
The touch of every season
Scent of time's passing
Song of laughter
Will be
Mine
I find your verses and the attitude that you share through them very thought-provoking and meaningful. Thank you for sharing your gift, Myrna. Love and best wishes,
A nice walk on the positive side. I guess it's only natural for your brain to use the senses it has left for enjoyment. I was just assaulted by my tenant's perfume (overpoweringly strong and penetrating) and I too little indulge myself in beautiful music like I heard last night from young singers on American Idol. Although I no longer cook, the smell of cooking turns me on.
I've been going through scans of old photographs and find that many of them I had forgotten that I had taken. But I'm so glad that I did take them and I remember when I took them very well. Of course, what I wrote on the back of those photos really helped. ;-)
This is a book of free verse poetry that addresses the seven main tests in life and offers some sensible solutions to passing those tests with minimal discomfort.
Mary Angela Nangini's poems celebrate the richness of life and love. From the city to cottage-country and the roads in between, Nangini explores the changing seasons of her varied region. (This book will soon be reprinted in hard cover.)

Myrna,
a poem about sensual compensation,
fine and positive, no sense of loss,
alternative ways of seeing and living
