A couplet sonnet that I hope you will enjoy... Myrna
Full Circle
To face the truth of encroaching darkness,
And accept honesty of its starkness,
Brings me full circle and around again
To where I am and to where I have been.
And with nothing but a thread unbroken
I have held my faith, prayers unspoken.
I begin a journey of fading light
But I will not stumble or fear my plight.
I will forge ahead, continue to live
The life I've led and shared, and thus to give
To others who might need to know and see
That courage will carry the best of me.
Into the world of this shadowy gray....
But the light of my strength with me will stay.
Courage shines in that final line, Myrna,
and your talent is evident throughout;
couplets can be tricky, the rhymes often
of necessity arbitrary but in the hands of
the genuinely skilled they flow with grace.
