It is with much sadness that I must bring to you this news. F. William 'Bill' Broome passed away on March 19, 2013 at the 'young' age of 92. He had been a long time and very active member here at AD until a few years ago when his health began to decline. His family asked me to convery a message to all who knew him.. they thank you for bringing such joy into his life and for embracing his words and love of poetry. He remembered his time here with fondness and they are grateful to all for showing him such kindness. I have written a tribute for my friend, Bill..he will never be forgotten..please feel free to share this news with anyone you may know to have been a close friend.. )
Until (In memory of F. William Broome who passed away on March 19, 2013 at the 'young' age of 92... or as he tried to claim, 109... He was 'Bill' until the end.)
Because he shared his words,
his laughter, his life, and his friendship,
we grew to love him...
Because he left a heart print
upon those who knew him,
we will remember him...
Because he invited us to do the same,
we will miss him.
As we now must bid him farewell
as he continues on his life's journey,
we do so with respect, admiration,
gratitude, and love.
Until we meet again, our friend,
we will remember and we will smile.
Rest in peace!
