This poem was inspired by a discussion in a blind writers group I am a member of... hope you enjoy! Myrna
My Skies
I have colored skies
in the fragile
transparency of azure
and have painted them
indigo after a summer storm.
They have bled for me
the blue of midnight,
when stars whisper their secrets.
They have wept for me
the honesty of deep cerulean,
when nature creates a flawless canvas.
They have enlightened me
with green-tinted cyan,
when the sea has touched the sun,
intrigued me with scattered bits
of royal porcelain as day slips into night.,
and fascinated me with blue-slated
mystery of thunder.
My skies have given my imagination
freedom to explore, wings to fly,
and dreams to be dreamed.
We have shared our journeys,
our destinies, our shades and shadows,
in every color of blue.
Blue is my favorite color -- all shades -- so this poem is right up my alley.
My Skies stands on its own as a beautiful composition. I love your expressions of how the various shades of blue have touched you as you review them. You are not only a poet, but an artist as well!
Each person is but a grain of sand resting beside the sea. This thought sets the tone for Jill Eisnaugle’s latest poetry collection, Beside Still Waters.
Perhaps "..Quiet Storm" will help rekindle old flames buried and long forgotten or express the love so deeply locked inside of your soul longing to be released.
Regardless of where you may be found in love this beautiful masterpiece can be

this level of involvement, this unity
