A bit of short verse

Dim Reflections

As edges
of vision blur
and colors, life's paintings,
the skies of day, velvet of night
begin to fade
into dim reflections,
I find myself still content
for I have memories to sustain me
and portraits etched into my soul.

These poems of your eyesight slowly degenerating is painful to read, but I completely understand why you write them. You're a poet, you must write about what you know and what affects you. This poem is such a gem, giving the reader a look inside your thoughts of a not so good reality of life.
