Just a little something.. a new tankabun

Untraveled Roads

dust rises, drifting
along those untraveled roads
marking life's journey
so much left undone, unseen
unknown destinies revealed

She walks slowly through time, feeling its dust settling upon her.  There is a yearning to undo, to relive, to experience, all that was left behind.  Reality is difficult to swallow.  Air is difficult to breathe.  Hope is difficult to sustain, but she must.  There is no time for regret, no time for tears, no time for chastising herself.  There is time to live, to begin anew, to explore, and to remember... tomorrow is not promised to her.  She must reach for it, believe in it, and embrace it.  Dust rises, drifting, settling upon her and she decides it is time to travel once again... leaving herself behind in every footstep and every breath taken.  She cannot go back. She can only go forward... and she does.

You express a timeless and universal and most meaningful theme of humans and their brief stay on this planet, Myrna. Well done. Love, peace, blessings, and best wishes to you,

Regis

“She” could be you or she could be mother nature. In either case, the only way left is “foreword,” just like you wrote.

You have a natural inclination for the positive thought process, Myrna. It shows up in everything you write, and your positive zeal is catching. I know when I come here I will be richly rewarded, and I can say I absolutely have. Thank you.

My mom says ‘If you can’t say anything nice then don’t say anything’. Sorry mom but under the guise of poetic license I penned these beauties.
