Simply Waiting

I am but a writer of thoughts.
Perhaps some might say
I am a painter of unseen colors
or a composer
of unfinished melodies.

I am but a collection of yesterdays,
a traveler of today's journey,
and a hesitant whisperer,
drifting toward tomorrow's yearning.

I am a dreamer in a world
of unspoken words,
an echo along the path of creativity,
and sometimes a chameleon
seemingly unaware
of its own changes.

I invite the companionship
of the muse but I am content
to also be a quiet observer,
a silent student of the craft.

My heart is open,
my soul is free,
and my mind is captured
by imagination's lure.

Yes, I am but a writer of thoughts
waiting to surrender to their calling...
waiting, simply waiting.
