There is no doubt about it. I am getting old. How many times has this happened to you?

Poem Artwork

I came into the kitchen with a purpose I am sure but I guess its old age but a state of confusion has set in.

I am in a state of mental uncertainty, bafflement, befuddled and full of bewilderment.

I came into the kitchen to get something of this I am sure but now for the life of me I cannot remember what.

Something or someone created a distraction and I now know that whatever it was that I wanted; I forgot.

I stand here in perplexity in a whirl, trying to remember what is was I wanted but much to my chagrin

It is puzzlement to me now that I am here why it was that I ever came in.

Agitation, discomfort and total dismay creates more distress and try as I may

I cannot remember what it was I wanted so badly and this simply creates more dismay.

The feeling I have is pure disturbance full of perturbation and creating a feeling of great trepidation.

My mouth is dry as I stand and wonder my mind filled with puzzlement and mortification.

“I need a drink,” I think to myself and that is when I remember what I am here to get.

I came for a glass of water; oh how did I forget?

Oh yeah, this has happened to me on more occasions lately than ever before...Whew, glad it's not just me...now when we get lost in my own house as I heard someone the other day revealing, then we should get worried! Enjoyed this humorous write my friend. I've not been around the den much in the past couple of weeks due to a heavy workload at school, the holidays and working on a second book...but it's good to be home!
Blessings & Happy Holidays,

This is about the closest men will ever get to knowing what it feels like to be pregnant!
You pregnant, Lew? LOL!
Poor guy, water must be substituted for the real thing, but no worries, nine months from now, I'll give ya a real drink!
LOL! Funny pen you are...
Love and Peace~

My answer to my forgetfulness - I probably didn't need "it." Then, I retrace my steps, sometimes I remember and other times I just do or get something else. Just another of life's senior moments.

God bless you. Kathy
