I sit inside gazing out the window at a sky of blue without a cloud in sight.

The leaves on the maple tree have turned brown and start to float away from the tree in delight.

They have freed themselves from the tree and now glide gaily to the ground.

A slight breeze blows them here and there sometimes at an angle and some float around.

A holly tree stands in the yard not far from the maple trees.

Its leaves stay green and sturdy, unaffected by the autumn breeze.

The maple tree has felt the breeze and its leaves are brown and yellow.

They have lived through the summer season since their buds first bid the tree hello.

Life is a series of hellos and goodbyes a never ending cycle of events.

As I contemplate the beauty of the fall I have no time to wonder where the summer went.

Brown leaves stand out against the pale blue sky caressed by the cool autumn breeze that gently blows.

I find myself watching the leaves rustling too and fro, too and fro, too and fro.
