An orange moon rises in the east, to light the sky.
The clouds are rising around it way up high.
A shadow crosses before my window
And I hear a rustling sound long and low.
There goes a ghost and I saw a witch go past.
Behind there are more shadows cast.
A skeleton walks straight up to my door and rings the bell.
Who this could be, I cannot tell.
As I take a deep breath and open the door
I see Batman, Superman and many more.
They merge upon my home from the down the street.
They have but one thing to say and that is “Trick or treat”
I like the poem for its rhythm and picturing... (imagery) "They are there" sings beautifully.

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :D
When I was a little girl, I was once a ghost, and when mom went to cut the eye holes (so I could see), she grabbed a chunk of my bangs and cut 'em off! Oh, how I cried!! I still remember that years later! It seems funny now, but it sure wasn't back then!! LOL
