"Sustained concentration is a learnable skill. It's not something you're born with; it's something you develop through daily practice."
~Steve Siebold

Poem Artwork

The man said concentration is a learnable skill
You are not said to be born with it but with practice you will
As you grow each day your mind learns to deliberate
You learn to find the pieces and to assemble or fabricate
In my sixty-five years there is something though I’ve learned
This skill takes time to cultivate and lost quicker than its’ earned
What does this mean to an old man, feeble and worn-out?
It means my mind now is easily distracted and takes to wondering about
So you see, this talent takes time to perfect and in time it depreciates
And then on day you come to realize that this skill too soon abates
Oh Well!

I think it's too early in the mornin for me to be concentrating yet. I think I'll try a little later in the day.

Everything comes and goes doesn't it Lew? We have to learn to walk and then comes the time when some can't ambulate. Just as concentration, all learned skills eventually leave if we live long enough. The price paid for a long life but a high price indeed.
