I have been contemplating as I reach year sixty-five
All that I have done in the years I’ve been alive
 
I have picked up some habits, some of which I’m not proud
If you want me to hear what you’re saying you will have to speak loud
 
However, I feel that I have accomplished the glorious art of living
I have learned to be unselfish for there is much joy in giving
 
I may recognize your face but can’t place it with a name
I have become forgetful and it is my age to blame
 
But in all the years God gave me I have three offspring and grandchildren to claim
And without their love I know my life would not be the same
 
That is why I start each day with a thank-you prayer to God above
For he has been the source of much happiness and love
 
He has blessed me with a family and a loving wife
So whatever you may think of me I am thankful for my life

You are a great soul Lew! We all have the choice to be bad or good. I choose to be good. Never worry about what anyone thinks. My father always said they are not happy with themselves so they take out on others that are. Take care, and god bless you always!~Chessly
