"Let them eat cake!" Attributed to Marie Antoinette

Poem Artwork

Donald Trump Offering a Truffle to a Follower by Ron AI

Truffles from Trump

Let them eat caviar, truffles and fine wine,

that will satisfy them while they whine.

Lower the prices of gasoline, rent and beer.

Militarized defenses from irrational fear.

Drill baby drill, while the climate heats up,

burn our breadbasket, empty nature’s cup.

A pittance of taxes relief to the poor,

while the favored wealthy get much more.

Plan stacked against the common man,

controlled by the wealthy because they can.

Thanks to the crumbs provided so well,

floods, fires, tornadoes and droughts are swell.

Extinctions are coming just round the bend,

no demigods will save us nearing the end.

Very different to your usual ambient vibe; but no less interesting for that.
Nothing is what it seems right now, and it's easy to get caught up in one hype or another.
The best place to view from is above, rather than pick a side; neither of which are presenting clarity ...but they will; they'll have to; because this is not sustainable.

THE PRESENT TIMES...IS OF NO SURPRISE TO THOSE WHO HAVE READ THE SCRIPTURES. IT IS A TIME WHEN...'THE JUST SHALL LIVE BY FAITH'. AND WHAT IS FAITH? 'THE SUBSTANCE OF THINGS HOPED FOR, BUT EVIDENCE OF THINGS NOT SEEN'. SO WHAT DOES ALL OF THIS MEAN? WE WILL NOT UNDERSTAND EVERYTHING GOD ALLOWS BUT, WE KNOW...THAT GOD IS YET...IN CHARGE! GREAT POST, THANKS MY FRIEND. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...HIS+INSPIRATIONS

Wow, another thought provoking poem. I hope humanity will not be so passive that we can't see how the rich parasites are sucking the economy and the earth dry. Surely we won't just sit down and die. Ah, remember the slogan, "When we fight, we win!"?

Dark yet I feel also accurate visions of what's coming. What were people thinking?

Dear Ron
Just came across your very timely poem.
Very well executed and unfortunately
a sad truth for the earth.
Keep the faith, never lose hope, the sun is still shining in
the sky.

I'm not responding because I agree with your attitudes towards trump. Though I more then agree. But your poem goes past just rhyming, and touches on a sub-flow. your poem has a subconscious, such truth and beauty! jude

The cruel absurdity of times such as these challenge pens like yours and mine to prove their value to the world. Very glad to see yours is up to the task. Will have to see how much I can do on this end. Thanks for sharing the great read.

That seems accurate to me. Well done, Ron! All the best,
