The Punch and Judy Show Returns 

Oh, how we’ve missed the raucous delight,

Of Punch and Judy’s endless fight,

With baton raised and voices loud,

In a puppet show that draws a crowd.

The new administration strides on stage,

A pantomime of humor and rage,

With promises of a brighter day,

While mishaps seem to lead the way.

Punch, with his policies so grand,

Swings his club with a steady hand,

But for every problem he professes to cure,

He leaves a trail of doubt, obscure.

Judy, with her agenda tight,

Counters Punch with all her might,

Yet, in this farcical display,

Logic seems to fade away.

The crowd, divided, cheers and boos,

Caught in the spectacle of news,

As Punch and Judy carry on,

Their antics till the break of dawn.

With every twist and every turn,

There’s much to watch and much to learn,

For in this show, both old and new,

The line 'tween fact and fiction’s skewed.

So here’s to Punch, and here’s to Judy,

Their endless dance, both wild and moody,

In politics, as in the play,

We watch, bemused, as they sway.

For though the stage may change its face,

The show goes on, with frantic pace,

And we, the audience, still enthralled,

By the echoes of the puppets' brawl.
