Christmas is

 

Christmas is the magic in the eyes,

Of a child not yet tainted, by the knowledge,

That “naughty” and “nice”,

Don’t really determine the toys and joys,

Of Christmas.

 

Christmas is the glimmer of hope,

In the eyes of one who on every other day of the year,

Are dim, uninterested and bored,

But sparkle remembering the meaning,

Of Christmas.

 

Christmas is the reminder to all,

To be a little kinder, softer, better,

To reach out to one who seems to need a hand,

A reminder to share the goodness in life,

And to look for deeper meaning,

Of Christmas.

With all the commercialism today some do forget what this Holy Season is all about and do not ponder why Christ was born.
