Children's Poetry brings a sparkle to their eyes...

A tiny mouse came out to play.
He planned to have a fun day.
His eyes were scanning all around,
looking for a playground.
Ole Tom Cat laid in the easy chair,
while Tweety Bird flew around in the air.

Mom and Dad were fast asleep,
he didn't want to make a squeak.
Up the cabinets he climbed,
looking for things to find.
Tweety Bird was watching out,
he had begun to sing out.
Tom Cat opened up his eyes,
he was in for a real surprise.

The tiny mouse was in his food,
what was Tom Cat going to do?
Feathers flew all around,
Tom Cat meowed and jumped down.
Tiny mouse was gone in a flash,
he wan't going to be Tom Cat's hash.
